History of the Cassadaga Hotel & Spiritual Center

The Cassadaga Hotel was destroyed in a fire in 1926, then  built between 1927 and 1928 and has become a hot spot for paranormal activity over the many decades of it's existence.  We are trying to find exactly what year the hotel was built.  It is the only hotel in a town founded in 1875 by  George P. Colby.  In 1880 Mr. Colby filed homestead for 74.4 acres, this land was to be used to form the community of Cassadaga Florida. In 1894 the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association was formed and the rest is history. It is a town composed of sensitives, mediums and those pursuing their spiritulism, a town which is supposed to be built on a spiritual vortex.

Claims of Activity:

Shadows, Unexplained Orbs, Apparitions of children, animals and adults, being touched, footsteps.

Our Findings:

We have investigated this location on 4 seperate occasions and are now the Official Paranormal Group for the hotel. We will say that activity is indeed present at this location and a few of members including myself have been touched, have heard voices, seen shadows, apparitions and have had many unexplained occurances. We have captured both Audio and Photo Evidence and have made this location our personal paranormal HQ. In January 2010 we will be throwing a series of courses through out the year covering all fields of the paranormal and will include special celebrity guests.

Requirements to Investigate:   

You can inquire but at this time I do not think they are allowing any teams to investigate other than us, nor do I believe they will be allowing any paid paranormal events to be thrown there. They have had some bad experiences with some unreputable groups and no longer wish to be subjected to that disrespect and abuse.
